Route of the Seven Lakes
Neuquén

Whether you like cycling or want to start bike touring, this route is ideal. Ruta de los Siete Lagos (Route of the Seven Lakes) is part of the mythical Route 40 and links the cities of Villa La Angostura and San Martín de los Andes.

If you take a detour from the main road, you will reach the shores of lakes Traful, Espejo Chico, Hermoso, Meliquina, and Lolog. These superb landscapes invite you to travel slowly, stopping at organised and wild campsites along the way. In this route, you set the pace: you can complete it in 2, 3, 5, or 7 days.
There are 110 kilometres in total of medium difficulty. The entire road is paved, and there are berms almost all the way. The best time of the year to do it is from November to March.
