Reserva de Biósfera Yabotí (RP 2)
Misiones
El Soberbio lies amidst mountains and the rainforest, and is the main gateway to the great Yabotí Biosphere Reserve, where native communities and wildlife coexist. This is a place where the green shades of the rainforest merge with the red colour of the earth on the banks of the meandering Uruguay River.
Citronella perfumes the route and ferns expand their leaves among white butterflies. Viewpoints force you to stop to admire the rainforest up close. The road opens and closes and bends and crosses the Yabotí Guazú Stream until it reaches Moconá Provincial Park, which in the Guarani language means "that which swallows everything." Here you will discover a unique geological fault in the world: the water falls parallel to the river through a 3 km canyon, as if the river were split in two. A trip that you will always remember.
